How do I add a vaccine or vet record?

Tap the add button and photograph the vaccine card, invoice, or certificate. PetVital's AI extracts the product name, date, brand, and lot number. You can edit any field before saving.

Can I track multiple pets?

Yes. Premium supports unlimited pet profiles. Each pet has its own record list, weight timeline, and reminder schedule. Free accounts are limited to one pet.

Why does PetVital need notification permission?

Local notifications remind you before vaccines and vet visits come due. Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device — no server is involved. You can decline and the app still works without reminders.

Is PetVital a substitute for veterinary advice?

No. PetVital is a record-keeping and reminder tool. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions, diagnoses, and treatment schedules. Reminder defaults are conservative starting points, not prescriptions.

Is my pet's data stored on your servers?

No. Records, photos, and reminders are stored only on your device. When you scan a card, the image is sent to the AI for field extraction and discarded after the response is delivered.

Is there a daily usage limit?

Yes, AI field extraction has a daily limit of 50 scans per device to ensure service quality. The limit resets every 24 hours.

How do I cancel or refund a subscription?

Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
